Indigo Arrows X FREED exclusively at Urban Barn

 

People don’t often think of art in connection with Winnipeg but it is full of inspiring artists who have a strong connection to the land, over generations of family. Exclusive to Urban Barn, INDIGO ARROWS x FREED presented a consciously curated collection of textiles printed with designs by the Anishinaabe artist, Destiny.

 

Destiny’s textiles reflect her culture and her relationship with her father. As a mother myself, I wanted to share her story and create the opportunity for her children to see their culture in mainstream design. For audiences who may not watch the video, we included items from outside of the collection in the stills to demonstrate how such distinct and strong designs work within a home.
